February- Times of Change

The forces operating in 2010, apparent from an astrological point of view, were intense. 2010 was a tempestuous year of passage for many of us. 2010 was an opportunity to break open patterns and blast through belief systems as these archetypal forces propelled us into new territories. Many individuals had breakthroughs while others had breakdowns.

How these forces played out for myself, my students and clients was in the challenges that compelled people to take risk consciously while others felt no choice as they were pushed into circumstances beyond their control.  These changes reflected change or loss of jobs, loss of homes, disease, illness and loss of relationships. A sacrifice is called upon or demanded during change of this magnitude.

During Biblical times and before, it is described of the importance of a sacrifice, a sacrifice of an animal such as a goat or lamb. This was done on a collective ritual level. The sacrifice is a substitute sacrifice. The animal sacrificed carried the loss of the collective and it is said that such an animal was given direct assess into heaven for the part played in this ancient ritual. While this sacrifice is symbolic, it served the collective into transitioning into the new time, the new era, the new turn of energy without too much anxiety and hardship.
